18 May International Connections: Our first Skype Date

As part of our International Connections unit, three children from Philadelphia skyped with 8 children from Lesotho, a country in South Africa on May 11, 2013. This skype represented the culmination of a 8 week long program where the children participated in online forum discussions and experiments. During the hour long skype session, they discussed differences in seasons, timezones, favorite foods and different ways they each travel to school. The children were extremely eager to learn about others their age living in another country and are excited to have another skype date soon.
